What are extracurricular activities?

They are activities that take place outside school hours and, in many cases, outside the educational center. Extracurricular activities are not compulsory, they are not part of the educational curriculum, they are not evaluable and, although they are not directly related to the subjects of study, they do favor the integral development of the child and the improvement of academic performance.

They are not conceived as part of the dynamics of the center or the academic routine of the child, therefore, before pointing the child to an extracurricular activity, it must be borne in mind that they should not live it as an obligation, they not only respond to the needs of parents to reconcile family and work life and that children have a real need for free time,  not considered as leisure time, but as a time where children do and play what they want without having to do any instructive activity.

Extracurricular activities allow children to develop their ingenuity, as well as have fun and learn more about what they have learned in school. They can be workshops, games, sports, outings and excursions.

Below, we will see some examples of extracurricular activities for boys and girls that we have designed. You can complete the survey here: EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES SURVEY
